Job Overview

The core duties of the inbound/outbound planner are to plan inbound/outbound schedules to ensure the service level for cargo deliveries and follow up with the client and operation team to resolve any anomalies.

Responsibilities and Duties

Inbound Planning

• In alignment with receiving slot and capacity, plan inbound receiving schedule upon bookings from supplier & carriers and considering customs clearance status.

• Secure effective inbound queue management routine.

• Use the inbound tools to secure highest goods availability at lowest cost.

• Follow up with operation team for solution to any operational abnormality.

Outbound Planning

• Plan the schedule to ensure the service level for cargo delivery and check any delivery discrepancies on daily basis.

• Control and continuously improve the filling rate for outbound deliveries.

• Follow up with the client and operation team for solution to any operational abnormal.

• Implement ad hoc tasks assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business management or related field.

• At least 1~2 years’ experience working in logistics industry, and customer service/operation position.

• Excellent Chinese and English written and verbal communication skills, Dutch is a plus.

• Be proactive.

• Great teamwork and communication skills, attend to details.

• The ability to travel to meet clients, attend conferences and research new markets as needed.
